The quote you compare is more than a rental rate: it's an all-in delivered cost, itemized line by line. You know exactly what you pay before you book.

Rental conditions

Clear conditions, identical for every rental company on the marketplace. The selected company confirms them in its contract. = specific to heavy-equipment rental

Rental Standard day & overtime

A standard day covers 8 h of use. Beyond that, each hour is billed at the hourly rate increased by × 1.5.

Rental Durations & minimum period

Rates by the day, week (5 days billed) or month (20 days billed). The minimum rental period is 1 day.

Rental Float on a lowboy

Round-trip transport is calculated on truck-approved routes (HERE Truck Routing), with a minimum of $220 and an 8% fuel surcharge.

Rental Certified operator

Optional: $480 per day (8 h), with valid CNESST (or provincial equivalent) competency cards. Otherwise, you provide a qualified operator.

Insurance & damage waiver

A damage waiver (LDW) of 14% of the rental covers breakage. It is waivable upon presentation of valid job-site insurance.

Eco-fees & security deposit

Eco-fees of $45 (tires, fluids) apply per rental. A refundable security deposit of 20% of the subtotal is held, then returned after pickup.

Cancellation

Free cancellation up to 48 h before delivery. After that, a penalty of 50% of the rental amount applies.

Full-to-full fuel

The machine is delivered with a full tank; return it full. Otherwise, refueling fees at the company's rate are charged.

Verified rental companies

NEQ, liability insurance and certifications are validated before a company can bid on the platform.

The machine's condition is documented with photos at delivery and pickup — a clear basis in case of a damage dispute.

Up-to-date certifications

Operators provided hold the required cards (CNESST, IHSA, WorkSafeBC…) based on the job-site province.

Site access

Before delivery, check access width, ground bearing capacity and required permits. The rental company guides you as needed.

Taxes based on the delivery province

Applicable taxes (federal GST/HST + provincial sales tax QST/PST) are added automatically to the subtotal, based on the province where the machine is delivered. They appear clearly on your quote.

E.g.: Quebec — GST 5% + QST 9.975% · Ontario — HST 13% · British Columbia — GST 5% + PST 7% · Alberta — GST 5% (no provincial tax).
